The colour of your teeth really tells who and what you are, most people spend huge amount of money all in a bid to get their teeth sparkling white.
Nonetheless, these simple steps below would give you desired results.
1. You are what you eat
Certain food and drinks can have a massive impact on staining your teeth and while you don't have to cut these foods out of your diet completely, it's good practice to scale down on the amounts you are currently eating/drinking to prevent staining!
Below is a small list of some of the everyday drinks that can cause bad teeth staining:
Wine – After a long hard day at work, a nice glass of wine with dinner is a must! But unfortunately for the Red wine drinkers amongst us, Red wine is a massive culprit for teeth staining! A glass here and there won't be an issue so long as you make sure to brush!
Tea – We all love a good cup of tea, but unfortunately it can cause extremely noticeable yellowing on the teeth – especially if you have sugar in your drink!
Coffee – There is no better start to a day than a cup of Coffee, but this miracle drink has a downside. As coffee contains extremely high amounts of caffeine, this can build up on your teeth and cause teeth staining.
Fizzy/Energy Drinks – Drinks like Coca Cola and Red Bull contain extremely high levels of sugar and various acids in their ingredients. So it's a must to maintain an extremely good level of hygiene if you are to consume these otherwise your teeth will stain and decay! If you insist on drinking fizzy or energy drinks, using a straw can reduce the acid on your teeth!
2. Bananas
Thank god to Gwen Stefani for Hollaback Girl – I swear I wouldn't be able to spell this word without that song…. Anyway, Bananas aren't just a healthy snack or one of your five a day, the peel of a Banana contains vitamins and minerals (such as potassium, magnesium and manganese) that can bring you to a white smile!
If you are going to try this method then see the below steps:
1. Rub the banana peel on your teeth and make sure you've got every bit covered – leave this for 10 minutes.2. After you've had this on your teeth for 10 minutes, brush your teeth to remove any bits of banana.3. Repeat this for up to two weeks as you're unlikely to see any results by doing one treatment.
3. Strawberries
Yes, it is true that strawberries can make your teeth white because of their acid content.
To brighten teeth you can mash up a ripe strawberry and dip your toothbrush in it – but be sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards, using warm water to which a pinch of bicarbonate of soda has been added, to reduce acidity in the mouth
4. Baking Soda and Hydrogen Peroxide
Hydrogen Peroxide and Arm & Hammer baking soda work wonders together to remove any excess grit from your teeth. This will also destroy any leftover dirty enamel that has built up on your teeth and cavities.
Simply just mix the 2 ingredients together and use as toothpaste for the next time you brush your teeth! They may not taste the best but in the end you'll be very happy that you gave it a try! Be sure to do this every other day when brushing!
When it comes to being successful in life having white teeth is very important, especially during a job interview or anything along those lines. If you are looking to go into law school and be a Lawyer, or going into real estate or Mortgage services white teeth will sure help you win over a large majority of your customers as it shows that you care about your appearance!
