Nigerian Government finally released Impounded Russian Cargo Plane

 

 

The Federal Government has finally released the impounded Russian Cargo Plane after proper checks and clarifications that the intercepted plane and its contents belongs to the French Military. This was made known in a press briefing by The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adeola Amosu on Monday.

 

 

The release was according to the Chief of Army staff to allow for the continuation of the existing cordial relationship between the Giant of Africa and the French Government as the French has been so cooperative with Nigeria .

 

 

Nonetheless, Proper checks and clarifications  were observed between the 3 governments involved (i.e. Nigeria, France and Russia) by Nigeria before the release decision.

 

In his words "However, we just got clarification from the French that the items on board belongs to the French Military. We respect that we have a good relationship with the French Government and we respect that. .. By this briefing, we are releasing the aircraft…" (...The Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Adeola Amosu)
