Boko Haram Kidnapped Hundreds Few Days To Nigerias Election

As Nigeria's General Election draws closer, Residents in the northern Nigerian town of Damasak said on Tuesday that Boko Haram militants kidnapped more than 400 women and children as they left the town, which was freed by troops from Niger and Chad this month.

In spite of the nations efforts towards combating terrorism and especially the incessant death arising from attacks of the Boko Haram group,the countdown to the long awaited election seems not to have improved the situation
.

Current attacks on Tuesday revealed "They took 506 young women and children. They killed about 50 of them before leaving," a trader called Souleymane Ali testified. "We don't know if they killed others after leaving, but they took the rest with them."

Lieutenant Colonel Toumba Mohamed, the Nigerien commander of the Niger-Chad forces in Damasak, said residents had reported between 400 and 500 women and children kidnapped.

Though focus seems to no more be on terror groups attacks as almost all attention has been channelled towards achieving a fair and free election in the March 28 2015 General Elections with incumbent president Goodluck"They took 506 young women and children.
