Nigerias Imo State Public Schools Resumes Oct. 13 2014

The Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha has directed that the state public primary and secondary schools will resume for academic work for the 2014/2015 academic year on Monday Oct 13 2014..
The governor made the announcement at a meeting held with the teachers at the Imo State International Conventiom center, Owerri.
According to Mr. Henry Echefu ( Govt. House correspondent ), " the state earlier delayed school resumption inorder to put neccessary machineries in place to protect the pupils from the dreaded Ebola Virus though the state had no case of the disease but government needed to be proactive in handling all matters relating to the health, of its citizens.
The governor also said that government is to procure sanitary materials and detergents for the schools and hurge the teachers to ensure high level of sanitation in their various schools. He further extol the teachers for their committment to duty since the introduction of the free Education policy and hurge them to keep it up.. The governor emphasised on teachers conciousness and attitudes towards handling issues that may relate to eventual outbreak of the disease.
Doctor Edward Ihejirika, ( The State Commissioner dor Health ), also advised the teachers to shune panic, rumours and other issues that might create unneccessary tension in the schools, hence giving further insight on the possible causes of the Ebola Virus, its symptoms and what to expect if anyone is suspected to have come in contact with anyone with the deadly Virus.
Finally, he stated that anyone having the disease will always be in an active state, and in a state where the illness has taken hold of him the said possible symptoms likely to be displayed by the ibdividual includes but not limited to :

_ Fever
_ General feeling of unwell
_ Vomitting
_ Diahorea
_ Coughing
_ The terminal state of the Virus affects the blood hence leading eventually to death.
