Nigerias INEC Commences Phase 3 of Distributing Permanent Voters Card ( PVCs ) in November

Goodnews to residence in Lagos, Imo, Kano, Katsina, Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna, Rivers, Borno, Edo, Plateau, Ogun and Adamawa State as the Indepence National Electoral Commision ( INEC ) in a statement at Abuja on 10-10-2014 made known that the commission will begin its Phase 3 of the Continous Voters Registration ( CVR ) exercise on 13th to 17th of November while the distribution of the long expected permanent Voters card will be between 7th to 9 th of November.

As a followup to the preparations towards Nigerias 2015 general election, the Apex electoral body has adviced that " Only Nigerians in possession of the Permanent Voters card would be allowed to exercise their voting right come 2015 elections.

According to the Daily online Nigerian papers, the Apex Electoral body has also given room for Nigerisn whose cards are missing to apply for replacement by formally writing through the Local Government electoral body INEC to the Resident Electoral body not later than 30 days to the election

Nothwithstanding, the INEC has earlier concluded its Phase 1 and Phase 2 distribution of the Permanent Voters Cards and Continous Voters Registration exercise in some states including Abia, Akwa Ibom, Kebbi, Cross Rivers etc
