Its so sad to say that about 46 school children have been confirmed dead while about 79 are currently hospitalised after a deadly bomb explosion in Yobe State this morning at about 8am (Nigerian Time). It was claimed that a suicide bomber, dressed like a student was behind the blast which took place while the children were holding their normal Assembly with the aim of claiming as many lives as possible. Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan had since then offered his heartfelt commiseration with those affected while still promising that those behind the blast will surely pay for their crimes. Stones were been cast on some Nigerian Millitary personell who visited the site of the blast by the groaning crowd who lamented the porous way in which the Military had handled the suspected Terrorist group behind the blast. Nonetheless, the Boko Haram terrorist group have been the major suspect behind deadly happenings in the country even when at times some of them happened on political grounds with the Nigerian police force claimed to be used as agents of investigation. Confirming the site of the blast by a BBC report analysis who said " the explosion went through the assembly hall at the government science school" In the same vein, about 15 people were killed by another suicide bomber in Potiskum ( Yobe State ) being one of the largest towns in Yobe State at a religious procession. Speaking on the Boko Haram- Nigerian Government Cease fire agreement, Abubakar Shekau ( the Groups leader ) cleared doubts at his statement saying that the agreement never holds and that the over 200 Girls captured in Chibok Town by the terror group in April have been married off. |
