The presidential candidate and flag bearer of the All Progressive Congress Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has said there would no office of the firstlady paradventure he becomes Nigerias President come 2015.
Butteressing his decision, In an exclusive interview with Weekly Trust in Kaduna, Buhari said his decision was based on the fact there is no office of first lady in the Nigerian constitution, just as there is no official
role for presidents' wives. Rather, he said ministries which are constitutional should be allowed to play their roles.
"There is the Ministry of Women Affairs, and so
on", he said.
"I was raised by my mother, as I lost my father
when I was under six years, so I know what a
woman can do if given the chance," he said,
adding that he sees them as his cornerstone.
In synopsis, the APC flag bearer said these doesnot imply that he was not working with women as according to him, women are going to play pivotal roles in his administration
The race for the February 2015 general elections tends tougher as each candidate gets more prepared by the day.
Nonetheless, the Nigerian Naira is still down trodden as it has since been devalued with the politicians yet having more of it on stock to aid their various campaign organisations
