Nigerian presdent Goodluck Jonathan had on sunday (Today 25/1/15) made a surprise worship visit to Bishop Oyedepos Living Faith Chapel A.K.A Winners Chapel cannann land,Ota Ogun State after their 21 days fasting and prayers,urging christians not to relent in their prayers for him and the Country.
Though an annonymous source revealed that the presidents visit was unplanned and unexpected as the church never expected seeing him today.
Just after the church service,their had been lots of controversies on pastor Oyedepos use of words while praying for the president.
While some said pastor Oyedepo said
"We will open the gate of hell on those who oppose you ",
members of the church who said they were there said what Oyedepo actually said was
"All those opposing and against the peace of Nigeria, God would open the gates of hell to them".
The vanguard news while commenting on the presidents visit through its source said though it wasnot scheduled,President Goodluck Jonathan didnt spend much time at the church as his visit was bent on thanking the church and its founder for its support and prayers so far both for him and the country.
The source added that he also said he had come to thank God for being considered by the People Democratic Party to stand for re-election in the coming February 14 presidential election. The President was also quoted to have urged the church to continue to pray for him and the nation.
The source said,
"Yes, it is true, President
Goodluck Jonathan worshipped in one of our
services today (Sunday).
"He did not say much. He thanked the church
for their prayers for him and the country as
whole.
"He also thanked God for being considered by
his party to stand for re-election in the February
14 presidential election. Then, he urged the
church to continue to pray for him and the
nation."
