General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor E. A Adeboye, has updated his profile picture and cover photo of his official Facebook account.
Pastor Adeboyes current profile picture now shows Him praying for President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the incumbent Nigerian president and Presidential candidate of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the upcoming 2015 general election in Nigeria
The recent picture was taken during the churchs February's Holy Ghost Service held at the Redemption Camp on Friday which was attended by all including senior pastor and Prof. Osinbajo of the church and the deputy presidential candidate of the APC seen exchanging greetings with President Jonathan.
The Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan on Friday night made a surprise but welcomed visit to the monthly prayer meeting of the Redeemed Christian Church of God at the Redemption camp, Ogun State where He was invited to the podium around 9.30pm by Pastor Aboaba.
In his remarks, and while thanking the church and its worshippers for their prayers towards the peace of Nigeria, President Jonathan said
"I am here to join you in prayers for our nation
tonight. The whole world is passing through a
challenge of religious extremism.Our country is facing a difficult moment but very soon, it will be over with the collaboration of our neighbours"
